Police are searching for suspects accused of tearing up the soccer field at Contra Costa Christian Schools ahead of the new season.

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (KGO) -- Twice in one week, vandals have hit the Contra Costa Christian Schools with the same stunt. Someone has been doing doughnuts on the school's soccer field right before the season was about to begin.

Berkeley police said they would be by a second time Friday to take pictures after learning this has happened twice. Now, the teams that play here are looking for a new place to play.

Middle school students at Contra Costa Christian Schools were disappointed after finding out someone vandalized their soccer field.

The head of school says students were particularly excited to play on it this year because the field was renovated in August. "We came in and brought in new soil, planted some seed, improved the irrigation system and the field was in better condition than it had

been in years," head of school Chris Winters said.

The field is so bad, school officials say it can't even hold practice on it.

School administrators noticed the damage Tuesday morning and then again Friday morning.

Winters says there are security cameras, but they didn't reach far enough to capture video of the person or people responsible.
