It started off as a Marvel spinoff, but Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has grown into an exciting, action-packed TV series. Now, the stars of the hit ABC drama talk about how the show all came together.

Cast members Ming-Na Wen and Blair Underwood spoke with ABC's Albert Lawrence on how Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. found its footing.

"There were so many articles about how just the show had just really found its rhythm and it all really came together," Underwood said.

Ming-Na talked about how the show incorporated fan feedback while also staying on track with larger plans in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"I really think that we took a lot of what [the fans] said to heart in many ways but also I believe our writers and producers did have an agenda that the actors weren't privy to," she said.

The new season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres Tuesday, September 29 at 9 p.m. ET | 8 p.m. CT on ABC.
