It's not unusual to get excited about this: Alfonso Ribeiro will be the new host of America's Funniest Home Videos.

The Dancing With the Stars season 19 champ, best known for his role as Carlton on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, will take over hosting duties from Tom Bergeron. Bergeron made the announcement Tuesday on the Dancing With the Stars season 20 finale.

The executive producer of the show, Vin Di Bona, said Riberio stood out because of something DWTS and Fresh Prince fans would recognize immediately: that toothy grin.

"After receiving hundreds of inquiries, stacks of video submissions and a very close audition race, one smile, one funny and sincere delivery became our standout favorite -- Alfonso Riberio," she said.

Fans of the show took to social media to express their excitement about the choice.

AFV will start back with season 26 this fall on ABC.
