SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- We've partnered with the team at Hoodline - the hyperlocal neighborhood website to find weekend activities in and around the Bay Area.

Marina Mac-And-Cheese Joint 'Mac'd'

All of your macaroni and cheese dreams are about to come true. A fast-casual restaurant called Mac'd opens this weekend in the Marina, specializing in building your own mac-and-cheese bowls.

The owners have been conducting taste tests at festivals and breweries and are ready for their first brick and mortar location.

"For me as a home trained chef, it's kind of like an amazing feeling to sell your food and have people come back to your booth just to say wow this is really good. Um I think that kind of positive feedback that we got repeatedly uh was what we needed to you know have the confidence to open this space," said Jason Brown, the Mac'd Owner.

Whatever combination you can dream up- Mac'd will make it for you.

"So we have bacon, hot dogs, you know peas and corn. But there's also some pretty out there ones as well. So Longonesia, which is a Filipino sausage, we have Kimchi, which is preserved vegetables, that's Korean. And we also have like Gochujang and hot Cheetos on top," said Chen-Chen Huo, a Mac'd Owner.

Which all happened to be part of my winning combination: bacon, peas, and yes hot Cheetos.

Mac'd will stay open until two am on Fridays and Saturdays.
