NEW YORK (KGO) -- On Monday, the seven-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift released "Shake It Off" from her new album called "1989", for the year she was born. It's her first official pop album, inspired by uptempo, pop tunes from the 80's.
In an exclusive interview with Good Morning America,Swift talks about the message behind the pop single.
"We live in a takedown culture. People will find anything about you and twist it, to where it's weird or wrong or annoying or strange or bad. You have to not only live your life in spite of people who don't understand you, you have to have more fun than they do," said Swift.
Swifts new pop album will be released on October 27th.
