Hedwig and the Angry Inch tops weekend events in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- We've partnered with the team at Hoodline - the hyperlocal neighborhood website - to bring you what's new and happening this weekend in San Francisco.

Actor Darren Criss made his name playing a high school student on the show Glee and he actually went to St. Ignatius High School in San Francisco and now Darren is a "troubled woman."

The first tour ever of Hedwig and the Angry Inch will be playing at the SHN Golden Gate Theatre.

Picture a rock concert mixed in with a drag show, mashed up with a musical and that still isn't a good description of what you'll see as it plays in San Francisco through October 30, 2016.

ABC7 News' Reggie Aqui asked Criss during an interview: "I wonder what putting a wig on and heels what that teaches you about being a man.

"That's a great question, why don't I always do this, I look great, I should wear makeup and heels all the time. I don't know what the deal is, I look way better than I do as a dude," Criss said.
