Paul McCartney will play the final show at Candlestick Park

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Paul McCartney will play the farewell show at Candlestick Park in San Francisco on August 14.

The event will be called "Farewell to Candlestick: The Final Concert."

The Beatles played their final paid concert at Candlestick on August 29, 1966.

His most recent visit to San Francisco was to headline last year's Outside Lands festival.
