"It's very surreal, our set is like a museum," said McLendon-Covey. "It takes place in the 80s, but it's not really about the 80s. It's more about the relationships of the members of this insane family."

The show is inspired by the true childhood stories of show creator Adam Goldberg, who is played by Sean Giambrone. Adam, the geeky and movie obsessed youngest child, documents his wonder years in the 80s, armed with a video camera to capture all the crazy. The Goldbergs are a loving family like any other -- just with a lot more yelling.

The first season was met with positive reviews, TV Guide including it in their top twenty "Best Shows of the Year" list, and the Hollywood Reporter called it "one of the rare freshman comedies to deliver."

Starting with its second season, the show has moved to Wednesday nights at 8:30|7:30c.

The Goldbergs stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, Jeff Garlin, Sean Giambrone, Troy Gentile, Hayley Orrantia, George Segal, and is narrated by Patton Oswalt.
