A Star Wars super-fan was granted his dying wish of seeing Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Thursday.

Daniel Fleetwood got the opportunity to watch an unfinished version of the movie set up by Disney, Lucasfilm, and Bad Robot at his home in Texas, according to ABC News.

Currently in hospice care, the 31-year-old was given one to two months to live after his spindle cell sarcoma became more aggressive, and was concerned he wouldn't be alive to see the movie on Dec. 18, according to his GoFundMe Page.

"Daniel just finished watching an unfinished version of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'!!!" his wife Ashley Fleetwood wrote on Facebook Thursday afternoon. "We would like to thank the awesomely talented JJ Abrams for calling us yesterday to tell us Daniel was getting his wish granted."

A fan of the Star Wars films since he was a child, Daniel's request to watch the film quickly went viral, with many social media users posting with the hashtag #ForceForDaniel to show their support. Mark Hamill even chimed in to send his well wishes to Daniel.

"I want to thank ALL the amazing people who helped make this happen, thank you beyond words!!!" Ashley wrote. "May the force be with you all #forcefordaniel!!!!"
