She's best known for her action-packed roles in The Hunger Games and X-Men films, but Jennifer Lawrence can now add the highest paid actress in Hollywood to her extensive resume.

Forbes released its list of the world's highest paid actresses, an extensive look into the top earning women in Hollywood and other corners of the globe. Jennifer Lawrence raked in a massive $52 million pre-tax over 12 months, putting her $16.5 million ahead of Avengers: Age of Ultron's Scarlett Johansson, who earned $35.5 million.

Chinese-born Fan Binging was the only foreign actress to make the list, who brought in $21 million thanks in part to her role in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Compare that to the highest paid actors list, where five Bollywood stars made the list for the first time.

The highest paid actresses earned $281 million total, $660 million less than the highest paid actors, who brought in a whopping $941 million. "The really top [female] stars get paid the same thing as their male counterparts, the problem is the averages don't work because there are not enough parts for women to star in for them to get paid," former Sony co-chairman Amy Pascal told Forbes.
