SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- We've partnered with the team at Hoodline - the hyperlocal neighborhood website - to bring you what's new and happening this weekend in San Francisco!

Things are going to be lit this weekend. We're talking about the holiday lights. All you have to decide is if you want a dash of Mickey or a sprinkling of Simba.

Embarcadero Building Lighting and Carnival

Mickey appears Friday on the ice at the Embarcadero Center. It's the 30th year of the Embarcadero Building Lighting Ceremony. A carnival starts at 4 p.m. and then after dark, Disney on Ice kicks off the building lighting and fireworks.

Pier 39 Tree Lighting

Saturday night head over to Pier 39 for the tree lighting ceremony. By the way, this year's tree is the real deal -- It's a 60 foot white fir from Mount Shasta. It takes staff three weeks to decorate it with 13,000 lights.

The Lion King

At 6 p.m. hear the lion roar or at least sing. Cast members will perform from Disney's The Lion King which is now playing through the end of the year at the Orpheum.

Pinot Noir tasting at Farallon Restaurant

If all of this holiday talk has you looking at your watch waiting for wine-o-clock we can help you there too.

A pinot noir grand tasting is happening Saturday at Farallon Restaurant. It does sell out fast.

No matter what you do this weekend, cheers!
