SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco-based Twitter says it is rethinking its policy on bullying after several users sent disturbing images and messages to Robin Williams' daughter, Zelda, on the heels of her father's death.

Twitter has suspended the accounts of the suspected bullies and released a statement saying: "We will not tolerate abuses of this nature." The company will also expand its policies to, "improve support for family members of deceased users."

Zelda Williams said she's taking herself off Twitter and Instagram indefinitely.
