Mariah Carey struggles to hit high notes during show in Japan

Ouch. Mariah Carey had a rough go of it during a recent performance in Japan. Video shows the Grammy Award-winning singer struggling to hit the high notes she was once so famous for during the first stop on her "Elusive Chanteuse Show" tour Oct. 4 in Tokyo.

In one part of the video, Carey's voice cracks as she reclines on a chaise while singing her 1997 hit "My All." In another, her voice gives out as she sings "Hero."

The launch of the singer's most recent tour comes as her personal life has fallen into turmoil. She separated from her husband of six years, Nick Cannon, earlier this year and there are reports that the two are preparing to file for divorce.
