So no one told you last night was gonna be this way? Sorry, Jennifer.

Wednesday night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the late night host had quite a surprise for former "Friends" star Jennifer Aniston. He told her that, as a huge fan of the show in the '90s, he wrote fan fiction, casting himself as Ross Geller. He then did something that made every '90s TV fan squeal: He asked Aniston to read lines with him. Any "Friends" fan knows that anything involving Ross and Aniston's character Rachel is bound to be hilarious and--most likely--adorably uncomfortable.

But the surprises were far from over. Kimmel had an exact replica of the show's set, and he even dragged a couple of Rachel's friends into his fantasy, leading to an appearance by Courteney Cox (Monica Geller) and Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay). Watch the hilarious (and purposefully horrible) fan fiction play out above.

The video is going viral at the same time as the news that Aniston's "Friends"-era husband Brad Pitt has married Angelina Jolie.
