FERNDALE, Wash. (KGO) -- A 4-year-old helped solve a robbery after investigators say her babysitter staged a burglary at the girl's home.

Police in Washington say the 17-year-old babysitter, along with her boyfriend and another teen, orchestrated a fake home invasion last week.

They say the babysitter reported two armed black men barged into the house. But little Abby Dean knew the truth and told police the suspects were white, not black.

That's when officials say the babysitter's story fell apart and she confessed.

"The bad guys stole by kitty bank, and they stole my iPod, they also stole my Xbox and my Wii," said Abby. "They got it back because of me being a superhero."

The babysitter and her accused accomplices face robbery, burglary and perjury charges.
