COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- A baby boy is safe and healthy in Georgia Thursday morning. But it might have been a different story if his big brother wasn't there when mom went into labor.

Kenyarda Dukes was at home Tuesday morning with her 11-year-old son, James, when the baby started to come.

There was no time to get to a hospital. James called 911 and followed instructions from the dispatcher.

James, who said he wants to be a doctor, delivered his baby brother.

"I don't like people hurting or down or anything. So I want to fix them and

help them," James said.

"The baby is doing fantastic. As you can see, his young doctor is taking very good care of him. I'm anticipating James to spend some time with me at the office. We'll help James make his dream come true to be a physician," said Dr. Eric Brown, Kenyarda's physician.

Kenyarda, James and his new brother are expected to head home from the hospital on Thursday.
