'Dead' girl wakes up at her own funeral

During a funeral at a church in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, a small girl wakes from 'the dead.'

After a three-year-old girl had become stricken a severe fever, everyone thought she had succumbed when she wouldn't wake up on Friday, and was declared dead. As she lay in her coffin on Sunday morning in the church, she began to stir as the priest was making the last sacrament. When someone noticed her moving, the girl opened her eyes. The family, of course, was overwhelmed.

The girl's seemingly miraculous recovery from death has caused quite a stir in the Philippines, where it was reported by one newspaper. She was to be buried within the hour of her funeral.
