A mother in Canada is crediting Facebook for helping find her baby after a kidnapping in a hospital maternity ward.

Surveillance video shows the moments before a woman, posing as a nurse, took the newborn from a Quebec hospital.

Staff and police quickly posted an image on Facebook. Within minutes a former neighbor of the suspect recognized the woman, drove to her house with a friend, and then called police.

"I know her because the police came sometimes," said one of the neighbors.

Fellow neighbor Melizanne Bergeron added, "We saw the window open with the light, we knew there was people in the house."

Officers broke down the door and rescued baby Victoria.

She was found safe and reunited with her parents three hours later.
