PORTLAND, Ore. (KGO) -- A Portland pastry chef has built a replica of the city as it looked a century ago out of gingerbread.
This year's holiday masterpiece also includes Santa's North Pole, the Czech Republic's Saint Vitus Cathedral and medieval European castles.
The creation took one year to design, 150 pounds of gingerbread, 15 pounds of white and dark chocolate, 35 pounds of marzipan and buckets of icing.
The trees are made of upside down ice cream cones and the stained glass windows are melted Jolly Ranchers.
