R2-D2 visits young 'Star Wars' fan in the hospital

When a hospital employee heard that a young patient was a "Star Wars" fan, he planned a special visit from one of the sci-fi classic's most beloved characters.

Mike Elliot's son was hospitalized with meningitis over the summer. He had a high fever and was undergoing multiple tests - a scary time for any little boy. But his hospital stay was made a little bit brighter when R2-D2 rolled into his room one day.

A hospital employee stood just outside with the remote control, entertaining Elliot's son by having the full-sized replica of the famous droid perform its trademark sounds and spins. Elliot's son was especially impressed when R2-D2 went into jukebox mode and played "Peanut Butter Jelly Time."
