WATCH: Kids scared by dad's Halloween costume

When this dad put on a terrifying costume and then went to greet his young daughters, he probably expected they'd be a little scared and then they'd all have a good laugh about it. But you should never count your chicken costumes before they hatch.

After his daughters broke into adorable tears at the sight of him, the dad, Jensen Omana of California, back-tracked. He tried to comfort them by taking off his mask and exclaiming "It's me!"

His little girls, though, seemed like they would need a bit more time to recover. Omana recorded the video on Halloween. Here's hoping his daughters got plenty of treats for enduring their daddy's trick.
