SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A fire caused the Civic Center BART station in San Francisco to close down. BART says the fire started inside a fan room and caused smoke to fill the tunnel and the station.

It was quickly put out and no one was hurt. But the closure caused a real inconvenience especially for those who were heading to pride festivities.

The station reopened around 8 p.m. Friday night and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
