Fall is a great time to visit Sonoma's beautiful wine country. The fall harvest is in full swing and visitors can catch a glimpse of the fall colors on the vines. The temperatures are cooler and the crowds are not as busy as in the summer months.

SONOMA, Calif. (KGO) -- Fall is a great time to visit Sonoma's beautiful wine country. The fall harvest is in full swing and visitors can catch a glimpse of the fall colors on the vines. The temperatures are cooler and the crowds are not as busy as in the summer months.[br /][br /]Viansa Sonoma is just a 35-minute drive from the Golden Gate Bridge. The winery recently completed a restoration of 97-acres of natural wetlands on the property, so now it's also home to cranes, hawks and all kinds of migrating birds.[br /][Ads /][br /]Viansa also offers visitors the opportunity to reserve a private outlook for wine tastings and take in the lush scenery.[br /][br /]B.R. Cohn is located in Glen Ellen and was founded in 1984. The estate produces wines, olive oils and vinegar too. Olive trees on the estate are hand-harvested in the fall after the grape harvest.[br /][br /]They were the first estate to create an olive oil in Northern California in the 20th Century. Beginning this year they will bring back an annual olive oil festival during the first weekend in November called the [url HREF="[br /]http://sonomaextravirginfestival.com" TARGET="" REL=""]Sonoma Extra Virgin Festival[/url].[br /][Ads /][br /]Sonoma Extra Virgin Festival is a fun-filled event that will feature live cooking demonstrations, music, wine and food. The tasting room will be open throughout the weekend at its normal operating hours. Tickets to the event are $15 and include a complimentary glass of wine. B.R.
