If you like one food stuffed inside another and then wrapped with a third, you're going to love what the baking masterminds at Chow have created.

The turducken, the delicious chicken stuffed into a duck stuffed into a turkey, is a holiday tradition in some households. It is believed to have been invented in the mid-1900s by Cajun cooks in Louisiana, but its exact origins are not known.

Last year, the Three Brothers Bakery in Houston introduced us to the Pumpecapple Piecake, aka the 'Turducken of Desserts.' The $175 cake consists of a pumpkin pie in a pumpkin spice cake on top of a pecan pie in chocolate cake on top of an apple pie in an apple spice cake.

Now, we have the 'Turducken of Donuts.'

It's a cream-filled, double-fried, chocolate and apple-flavored delight. Calling it simply a 'doughnut' does not do this sweet treat justice. It's made by wrapping an apple fritter in a custard-filled doughnut and topping it off with a chocolate glaze and sprinkles.

The creation is from the mind of cookbook author Kim Laidlaw, who was experimenting when she deiced to go where no pastry chef has ventured before. Chow said that, given the turducken's status as the ultimate food combination, no name would suit their concoction other than 'Turducken of Donuts.'

Calorie count? If you have to ask, you're probably are still sticking to your New Year's resolution.
