It might be a Popemobile first -- a pizza delivery

NAPLES, Italy -- When the Pope said he misses being able to eat pizza in peace, one pizzeria created an amusing remedy: hand-delivering the treat to the Pope-mobile.

A pizzeria owner from the city of Naples, known as the home of the pizza, took it upon himself to satisfy Pope Francis' craving for the Italian delicacy by delivering it to him.

In a recent interview Pope Francis was asked what he missed about his time before he became the leader of the Catholic Church. His answer was simple: "The only thing I would like is to go out one day, without being recognized, and go to a pizzeria for a pizza."

Hearing the pontiff's request and knowing the Pope had an upcoming visit to the city of Naples, pizzeria co-owner Enzo Cacialle sprang into action.

"While I was making the pizzas for my clients, I heard the Pope's car coming and got ready. While his car was approaching I jumped over the fence and I gave him the pizza and with a smile he said 'thank you,'" said Cacialle.

It was a specially made thin crust pizza with "II Papa" spelled out in dough.

A video uploaded to YouTube shows Cacialle running up to the pope's motorcade and Pope Francis taking the pizza from him as the crowd cheers.

Overcome with emotion by what he accomplished, Cacialle said, "It's really hard for me to express the value of this gesture for a man we really love and value, for a beautiful person full of humanity."

There's no word yet on whether Pope Francis enjoyed the pizza.
