Gary Danko restaurant loses top spot in Zagat guide

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A culinary staple in San Francisco has lost its top spot in the Zagat guide.

For the last five years, Gary Danko has been the number one San Francisco restaurant but has fallen to number two in Zagat's new survey.

The top spot now belongs to Kokkari Estiatorio, which beat out much pricier restaurants.

The average bill per person at Gary Danko is about double that of Kokkari.
