These days, nobody seems to ever put down their phones, but all that texting could be taking a toll on people's spines.

A new study shows that the way people hold their phones is hurting their backs.

The spinal surgeon behind the study says every time someone tilts their head forward 60 degrees to look down at their phone, they're putting 60 pounds of pressure on their neck.

He recommends holding phones up higher, so users can hold their head up and look straight ahead at it.
