America's obstetricians are weighing in on the increasingly popular practice of women giving birth underwater.
In a new report out Thursday, doctors say immersing a woman in a tub of warm water to help her relax during delivery is probably helpful.
However, they're not so thrilled with the idea of actually delivering while submerged.
The report finds underwater birth can lead to health problems in the infant including infections, breathing problems and even seizures.
Thursday's study is from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
