Parts of Sunnyvale will be fogged this week in an effort to fight the spread of the West Nile virus.

The first fogging is scheduled for Monday at 11 p.m. Here's a look at a map of the area that will be fogged.

Officials say that mosquitos in the area have tested positive for West Nile.

The fog hangs low to the ground, targeting the insects near standing water where they lay eggs.

Fogging in parts of Sunnyvale and San Jose began on May 22. That's the earliest the county has had to fog for mosquitos.
