A new study brings relief to women who wear a bra. Researchers say bras do not cause breast cancer.

The findings bust an age-old myth that suggests wearing a bra, particularly an underwire bra, is linked to an increase in breast cancer in post-menopausal women.

They also say it doesn't matter how old you were when you first started wearing a bra or how long you wear a bra each day. None of these factors make a difference for postmenopausal women with and without a history of breast cancer.

The study is published in Cancer, Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention.
