A new study has found that even a short amount of running could add years to your life. Researchers at Iowa State University tracked 55,000 people for at least 20 years, asking how much then ran each day.

Those who ran regularly cut their risk of dying from heart related diseases nearly in half.

The study found even five to 10 minutes a day was enough to trigger the effects and that speed didn't matter.

The study is in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
