COLUMBUS, Ohio (KGO) -- Two young children who were admitted to a hospital in Ohio after they developed fevers following a recent trip to West Africa have tested negative for Ebola.

The sisters, ages 4 and 6, were taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus early Sunday morning. Jose Rodriguez, director of public affairs and communications for the Columbus Public Health Department, says the girls tested positive for Influenza A.

While they awaited the test results, the children were kept in isolation.
