Danville woman has issues with Home Depot remodeling project

DANVILLE, Calif. (KGO) -- 7 On Your Side's Michael Finney helped a woman after her home remodeling project with Home Depot became an excruciating experience.

Home Deport tried to make things right. Unfortunately, nothing they tried seemed to work out.

Nancy Francis proudly showed 7 On Your Side her home remodeling project. The upgrade of the entire home was one year in the making.

But one part of the project still nags her - a sliding glass door. It made an irritating noise every time she opened or closed it. To fix the problem, workers cut off part of the weather stripping, but the door proved difficult to lock. There was also a crack in the door's wood frame among other things.

Home Depot which did a third of the remodel project agreed to replace the door. Those efforts set up what she felt was a chain reaction of mishaps.
