Man taken into custody after 16 hour standoff in San Jose
At least one person has been taken into custody after a 16 hour standoff in a San Jose neighborhood.

SAN JOSE -- Police arrested a male suspect this morning in San Jose following an hours-long search that began Wednesday afternoon, police said.

At 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, officers tried to contact the suspect in the area of Pocatello Court and Hunken Drive, but he fled on foot, police said.

Police searched for the suspect, and at 3:45 a.m. today he was taken into custody, San Jose police Sgt. Enrique Garcia said.

Police are not releasing the suspect's name until the case is further investigated, Garcia said.
