1 dead, 1 injured after plane crashes into Moss Beach home
One person died and another was flown to a hospital after a plane crashed into a home near Half Moon Bay.

MOSS BEACH, Calif. -- One person died and another was flown to a hospital after a plane crashed into a home just north of the Half Moon Bay Airport in unincorporated San Mateo County this morning, a sheriff's spokesman said.

The crash of a small white single engine Cessna 172 with two people on board was reported at 11:18 a.m. in the 1000 block of Park Avenue in the community of Moss Beach, fire and Federal Aviation Administration officials said.

Emergency responders are securing the area for federal investigators, sheriff's spokesman Detective Salvador Zuno said.
