11-month-old Stockton girl dies following severe abuse

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- An 11-month-old Stockton girl who was severely abused in March has died.

The girl's foster parent, 37-year-old Paul Teldeschi, is being held at San Joaquin County Jail on child abuse charges and may now be charged with homicide.

He was arrested in Belmont on April 17 after being on the run for more than two weeks.

The baby girl was airlifted from Stockton to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland. She suffered 13 broken ribs, a broken collar bone and a brain injury.
