7 On Your Side helped a local woman stop receiving unwanted deliveries from Alhambra after she tried, but was unsuccessful.

Rosita Tan used to bring bottled water home from the store until Alhambra offered a bargain. "Three bottles for $19 and change so I said 'hey, that's not a bad deal,"' she said.

Tan signed up for delivery of three jugs every month. "And it went well, I was very happy with it," Tan said.

However, the five-gallon bottles lasted longer than expected. "We only use this for drinking my tea, his coffee," she said.

The family couldn't drink it up fast enough, so unopened bottles began to accumulate in the hall.

While California had too little water, Tan had too much. "There's only three people in this house, I cannot finish all the water," she said.

She called Alhambra to stop those deliveries, but she was put on hold.

Tan wrote emails, called again, was put on hold and the water bottles kept on coming. Soon she had 19 five-gallon containers lined up in the hall. "Listen, I'm going to water my plants with expensive water," she said.

But instead, she contacted 7 On Your Side and we called Alhambra. Then, she got call from a human being named Marlon and he finally put a plug in the water deliveries.

Alhambra's parent company released a statement saying: As would be expected, we have had some disruption with our customer service, but our new center is now up and running and our service levels are improving every week. We take customer service very seriously."

Tan said she doesn't have an idea as to what she's going to do with all the water yet.

Alhambra told Tan she could return all those bottles but if she did, Alhambra would have to dump the water rather than re-sell it for safety purposes.

Tan said she couldn't let precious water go to waste and is going to hang onto it for a while.
