SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- There are two great quarterbacks in Super Bowl 50, the Denver Bronco's Peyton Manning and Carolina Panthers Cam Newton. It's almost a passing of the torch of the old school classic drop back quarterback like Manning to the new age big fast and mobile quarterback like Newton.

Both players say they have a great deal of respect for each other.

"It's a great match-up between two great football teams, The Broncos and the Panthers," Manning said. "[Cam Netwon] was the number one pick a couple years ago. Had an outstanding career at Auburn. He's just off to an incredible start of his young NFL career."

Peyton was this year's MVP and Newton says he has nothing but respect Manning.

"There's a lot of things that Peyton has done, is doing, that I wish I could mimic, but I can't do it like Peyton can, only he can do it," Newton said.
