There were thousands of football and Alicia Keys fans who could not enter Super Bowl City after it reached capacity and the entrance gates were closed late Saturday afternoon.

Many were disappointed to be outside the gates far away from one of the most anticipated headliners of the Super Bowl Week - Keys, the talented R&B superstar.

Before she started her performance, Keys spoke briefly about San Francisco native Mario Woods, who was fatally shot by SFPD officers. She said, "Black lives matter and we all, of every color, need to come together."

Her husband, hip hop artist Swizz Beatz, made a surprise appearance.

Some concerts, such as Metallica's performance at AT&T Park, were streamed live online for those who couldn't be there in person.

Super Bowl City officials want to remind people they will close at 3 p.m. Sunday, prior the game. Fans will not be able to watch the game from Super Bowl City and are encouraged to watch from local establishments.
