San Francisco International Airport is recommending travelers arrive at least three hours early.

The manager-on-duty at SFO said they prepared for this and held their security check points open all night long. They usually close them from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m.

They also have extra people at the car rental return counters. Even the restaurants and shops opened early at 3:30 a.m. to welcome all of the Super Bowl travelers.

"They warned us when we came that we needed to come early because of all the people that would be here," said passenger Katrina Vincent.

An airport spokesperson said no problems have been reported, but to keep things running smoothly, they are recommending passengers get to the airport three hours before their flights.

The airlines added 12 flights on Monday mostly to Denver and Charlotte.

All this helped SFO earn high marks from Super Bowl fans.

The airport even had championship shirts ready to go for happy Denver fans.
