Dedicated to Duke Kahanamoku, who popularized the modern sport of surfing, the ISM is a non-profit museum in Huntington Beach, CA whose goal is to preserve the history of the surfing culture throughout the globe. The museum was established in 1987 by Ann Beasley and Natalie Kotsch and moved/opened in the 411 Olive Ave location in June 1990.

Pacific City:

Pacific City was the original name of the early oceanfront village that would eventually become known as Huntington Beach. Pacific City is oceanfront dining, shopping and entertainment.

Sunset bonfire on the beach:

Bonfire pits are free and on a first come first serve basis. The busiest season for the bonfire pits at Huntington California beaches runs from late May through early September and you have to bring your own firewood.
