USF women's basketball team heads to NCAA Tournament for 1st time in 16 years

The University of San Francisco women's basketball team is headed to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 16 years.

The lady Dons received a big welcome home Wednesday, after winning the West Coast Conference Championship Tuesday with a thrilling, 70-68 victory over the top seeded Brigham Young University Cougars.

Senior forward Taylor Procter was named tournament MVP.

The lady Dons are now 21-11 on the season.
