SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The University of San Francisco women's basketball team is headed to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 16 years.

The lady Dons received a big welcome home Wednesday, after winning the West Coast Conference Championship Tuesday with a thrilling, 70-68 victory over the top seeded Brigham Young University Cougars.

Senior forward Taylor Procter was named tournament MVP.

The lady Dons are now 21-11 on the season.
