SAN JOSE (KGO) --San Jose police want you to look at new surveillance video of a man they say stabbed someone else in a bar. They've spent months trying to figure out who this is and hope you can help.
Police say it all started when two men bumped into each other while inside the Willow Den Bar on Lincoln Avenue. It happened on November 15 of last year; that was a Sunday morning just after 1 a.m.
In surveillance video, you can see the suspect in a white t-shirt walk outside and then get into a confrontation with another man. Security guards stayed between the two, but eventually, they both ended up in the middle of the street squaring off. Then you can see the man in the white t-shirt pull something from his pocket and start chasing the other man before making a stabbing motion. Police say the victim was stabbed at least once. He was treated at a local hospital.
Police are calling this an attempted murder and they need your help catching the suspect. He's described as a Hispanic man, 25-to-30 years old, 5'10 inches tall, 180 pounds with a scar on the back or top of his head. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue true religion jeans and white shoes.
If you have any information, you're asked to call police.
