Explosives found on school bus left by CIA training unit

It's not news parents get every week, but in Virginia, some parents learned that explosive material had been found on their child's school bus.

It was left on the bus last week by a CIA K9 unit, which was doing a training exercise.

Students had been riding the bus two days before it was discovered.

School officials say the material could not be activated through normal operation of the bus.

"In the state that it's in, you'd have to have a blasting cap or something to actually make it explode. That was not the case," explained wayde byard, the loudoun county schools spokesperson.

The CIA released a statement saying the explosive material didn't pose a danger to bus passengers.
