Missing Fairfield teen found safe
Police said they have located a 15-year-old girl who was last seen Friday evening in Fairfield. Detectives say she safe.

FAIRFIELD, Calif. -- A full-scale search for a missing teen from Solano County ended a short time ago when she was found safe.

Haley O'Neill was just located a short time ago, not far from her home in downtown Farifield. She appears to be OK.

The 15-year-old was considered at-risk because she was missing and has mental issues. She left home to walk her dog last night at 7 p.m. and never came back. There was a full-scale search with search teams from the Bay Area and Central Valley looking for the girl.

Her dog was found this morning, tied to a tree by a hiker in Lagoon Valley Park in Vacaville. It's still unknown how the dog got here. Police are happy Haley is OK, but they have questions.

"There are a number of questions. Obviously, a lot's happened since 7 o'clock last night and there are some strange circumstances here," said Fairfield police Sgt. Matt Bloesch. "Our investigators are going to talk to her and find out what happened and make sure there was no criminal activity involved in the last 21 hours."

Fairfield police say they were concerned because her parents told them she had never gone missing before.
