SFPD announces arrest of officer on charges of perjury, filing false document

The San Francisco Police Department announced the arrest of another officer on Friday. Officer Saqib Aslam is accused of allegedly filing a false document and perjury.

Police say he lied on a Department of Motor Vehicles confidentiality form.

The department started investigating Aslam last summer because of a tip from another officer.

Aslam is a nine-year veteran of the department and has been suspended without pay.
