1 dead, 2 injured in early morning crash on 880 in Oakland

OAKLAND, Calif. -- One person has died and two others were injured in an early morning fatal crash on Saturday that occurred on southbound Interstate Highway 880 in Oakland.

All lanes were closed but now have been reopened. A Sig-alert issued due to the crash has also been canceled.

The crash occurred at 1:38 a.m. on the highway near Interstate Highway 980, according to the CHP.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
