San Francisco police pursued a carjacking suspect on Monday afternoon through the city.

The incident began around 12:10 p.m. in the city's Bayview District, according to police spokeswoman Officer Grace Gatpandan.

Officers set up a perimeter in the area and were able to take three suspects in custody. A fourth suspect was able to flee in a truck and led police on a pursuit though the city and eventually onto southbound Interstate Highway 280, police said.
