Leah Rodgers gave birth to son Reid Joseph at 1:18 a.m. Mountain Time in Denver.

A time zone away, identical twin sister Sarah Mariuz delivered Samantha Lynne in La Jolla, California at 1:18 a.m., Pacific Time.

The twins didn't plan their pregnancies together.

The families are trying to work out a time to visit each other.
