SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A dachshund is recovering after being injured by fireworks earlier this week.

Little Eva was brought to the San Francisco SPCA on Wednesday. She was found as a stray at a park in Coalinga with a badly injured eye.

Veterinarians at the SPCA have treated her right eye, but Eva may still lose that eye.

She's still being monitored.

Despite what happened to her, Eva is still described as "happy and friendly." It's amazing considering what she's been through this week.

Once Eva is healthy, she will be put up for adoption.
